Le Tres Bon Gourmet Tour to Noumea - New Caledonia - 6 Days
French-inspired cuisine. The regional specialties of France are common in the restaurants and cooking schools of the capital, Noumea. Even the traditional island food of venison, wild pig and giant native snails lend themselves to the French palate. The blue, palm-fringed waters of the South Pacific are undeniably romantic, especially for Chef Christophe and Josephine, who met while working in New Caledonia. Be wined and dined as you meet artisan chocolatiers, sip coffee brewed from local beans, visit the local fresh produce market, take cooking classes ... and, an absolute must, lounge by the white sandy beach followed by a dip in beautiful warm south pacific waters.

Discover Gourmet and Cultural Noumea
Visit the local morning market for fresh produce, seafood and local arts and crafts. Chef Christophe will walk you through and explain the tropical produce and flavours.
Cooking Demonstration and Lunch at Chef Fabrice Louyot's La Table des Gourmets.
Chef Fabrice Louyot will treat us to a cooking demonstration and special dishes using local produce. Lunch will be served at this convivial establishment.
Guided tour of Tjibaou Cultural Centre
Exquisitely designed by Renzo Piano, Tjibaou Cultural Centre was built in Noumea to support archaeological and linguistic Kanak heritage.
The centre encourages the contemporary forms of Kanak culture and promotes cultural exchanges.
Petanque Game 1
Pastis, Champagne, French cheese & a game of Petanque at Anse Vata beach at sunset.
Day 3: Wednesday 04 November
Cooking on L'Escapade Island – a day of pure relaxation.
L’Escapade floats like a mirage on the lagoon in the heart of an exceptional 200 hectare marine reserve and only 20 minutes by boat from Noumea, but a world away from the bustle of the city. A great combination of luxury and tranquility in a tropical setting.
Participate in a fun cooking class and competition in the resort's wedding chapel.
Cooking competition judged by Escapade Island Resort’s Head Chef Xavier Rocher. Chef Rocher worked at Le Tres Bon restaurant in Bungendore.
The day includes boat transfers, access to resort pool, deck and a delicious buffet lunch.
Day 4: Thursday 05 November
Visit La Maison de la Perle (the House of Pearl)
The director of La Maison de la Perle will make a presentation on the different stages of making a piece of jewellery using the magnificent black pearl.
Lunch at Chez Toto, one of the best restaurants in Noumea
Chef Christophe Guerin and his wife Saori will prepare an unforgettable lunch experience!
Petanque Game 2 - Finals
Pastis, Champagne, French cheese & a game of Pétanque at Anse Vata beach at sunset.
Evening Concert - Vanuella Watt
The beautiful Caledonian singer will perform live and exclusively for the tour group at Le Café de la Plage.
Day 5: Friday 06 November
L'Atelier Gourmand is Noumea's best patisserie and boulangerie.
You will experience an exceptional demonstration cooking class – how to make a traditional French baguette!
Chocolat Morand Visit
For over 10 years artisan chocolatier Patrick Morand has been in Nouméa sharing his passion for chocolate. At his store you’ll not only find the finest chocolates made from French cocoa but also mouth-watering sweets inspired by the tropical flavors of New Calendonia.
Our tour group will experience the exclusive luxury of watching the master at work with a special chocolate demonstration class.
