Ferry Betico operates several weekly round trips to the Loyalty Islands and Isle of Pines by the high-speed catamaran, Betico 2, with a maximum capacity of 355 passengers divided into three classes: economy, comfort and VIP.

PRESENTATION OF BETICO 2:

​

Economy class: 197 seats

Economy class and the snack bar are located on the main deck and can accommodate 197 passengers. Throughout the crossing, the snack bar offers a wide choice of products (breakfast, snacks, drinks, newspapers, phone cards, etc.). This class offers an excellent value for money, making it accessible regardless of your budget.

Comfort class: 118 seats

It is located on the upper deck, on the 2nd floor.

This class has very good level of comfort, armchairs are arranged around large tables for 8 people. It will be ideal if you are travelling with family or friends.

VIP class: 40 seats

Like the comfort class, the VIP class is located on the 2nd floor.

It is located at the front of the ship which offers a panoramic view especially during manoeuvres when arriving at the islands. You will be able to see sailors moor the ship, under the orders of the Bosco (Bosun) and the first mate! The seats are comfortable and adjustable. This class is ideal for your business trip.

Outdoor terrace:

The outdoor terrace (or deck) is open to all classes. It is located on the upper deck at the rear of the ship. From this terrace, passengers can enjoy the landscape and the sea air. From mid-July to mid-September, you may have the chance to see whales stopping over in New Caledonia Waters. You will appreciate the turquoise waters of the lagoon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Betico 2 passes near the islets and many amazing places. Among the most famous: the beautiful bays of Noumea, the narrow canal of Woodin, the falls of Cape N’Dua, the Havannah pass. It will also be the ideal place to meet people. Indeed, the clientele is made up in part of residents of the islands, known for their sense of sharing and their friendliness.

Departure Ile des Pins 17:00 – Arrival Noumea 19:30

Weekends

Betico remains docked at L’ile des Pins on Saturday evening

Saturdays: Departure Noumea 7:00 - Arrival Ile des Pins 9:30

Sundays: Departure Ile des Pins 17:00 – Arrival Noumea 19 30

 

Depending on the period, Betico adds a return on Saturday night and new departure on Sunday morning

This ferry schedule will allow you to do a day trip, a weekend or even a stay of 4 / 5 days in Ile des Pins thanks to the stopover on Wednesdays.

LIFOU & MARE

Every Monday and Friday

Betico offers a one-day return trip to Mare and Lifou.

You will be able to arrive on Friday at the beginning of the afternoon, and leave on Monday at the end of the morning, giving you two and a half days on the spot. If you have more time, you can also leave on Monday and return on Friday.

Technical stops: Tuesdays and Thursdays.

During local school holidays -  additional trips:

Trip to L’ile des Pins: Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays (one-day round trip).

Trips to Lifou & Mare & Ouvea: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
